Background Bliss

We will be featuring from time to time some unique background prop ideas but today’s post is all about keeping it real and simple, just plain ole’ seamless paper.

When I first got going, I made sure to have the basics….Black and White.

BW

I wanted to add a little bit of pop to my pics and with a baby girl on the way at the time, HOT Pink was calling my name. I also needed something a little different and gender neutral so I also got me some Thunder Gray (my favorite ever!)

Color

Why do I love Thunder Gray so much? Besides is neutrality, I love how it can take on a different tone based on lighting and post-process techniques. A little Honey, gives a little Blue Hue.

Seamless paper comes in a couple different sizes and easily slides on a Port-A-Stand. Size all depends on your very own preference…I find that 53″ is perfect for newborn and tot shots, even a couple kids. Big family shots will probably require the larger 107″ size.
